Welcome to Day 6 of our daily e-mail blasts to help you prepare for the 10th annual Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon events.

Did you know that more than 160 runners have participated in all nine previous Flying Pig Marathons and are planning to do number 10? We're proud of our "streakers" and want to hear your story. Email us at media@flyingpigmarathon.com along with your contact information.

Make sure your timing chip is on your shoe. It won't be able to record your time if it's in your pocket or in your hand, so make sure it's tied onto your shoe securely. If you have forgotten your timing chip, come to the starters' platform for a replacement.

5K for a Cause

One of the fastest growing divisions of the weekend is the 5K event, either chip or non-chip. The "Hope and Possibility" 5K division welcomes participants of all abilities, while the Road Runners Club of America this year will use the Flying Pig Fleet Feet Sports 5K for its national championship!

The Greening 'o the Pig

Make sure to recycle those water bottles you get at the finish line. The bottles will be collected and, with the help of asics, be recycled into polar fleece outerwear, to be donated to inner-city youth in Cincinnati. Your efforts to keep the Pig 'green' will help many more in the city!
